Comeauville is a small community in Digby County, Nova Scotia. Formerly known as Clare, it takes its current name from Augustine F. Comeau, who established a postal way office in the community in 1841. The settlement developed steadily over the following decades, with a schoolhouse erected in 1866 to serve the local population. A second schoolhouse followed in 1922, reflecting the continued growth of the community over the intervening years.
